Public Art

Public art plays an important role in Wollongong’s culture and identity. As well as creating exciting, inspiring spaces for everyone to enjoy, it gives artists a great chance to share their ideas and build pride in our community.

Our city has a diverse range of public art - from permanent works that have become local icons, to temporary installations in surprising places.

This website has been created to help you explore the more than 120 public art works across our city, and perhaps uncover some hidden gems!
