Public Art is a mechanism to create, discover, interact and participate in new and creative experiences throughout the City and to revitalise urban spaces. Public Art can engage with communities to provide enduring strength and pride and can inspire our curiosity and can challenge our assumptions.

Wollongong City Council continues to regularly commission new public art and recognises that site specific public art enhances the enjoyment of the city experience. Council’s commitment and investment into permanent and temporary public art creates rich and vibrant public spaces that transform the places where we live and work.
